LABOUR DAY TOURNAMENT. CONTEST AT MASTERTON GREEN. The Masterton Bowling Club's an nual Labour Day tournament which commenced on Saturday afternoon, is being continued today. Bowling conditions were perfect. The following are the results of the first two rounds. First round: Messrs J. Russell. Gordon, J. J. Hunter, Morton (s) lost to Messrs S. V. Gooding, De Castro, Stubbings, Roberts (s) 10/23; Clife, Latimer, McCullough, W. Hendry (s) beat Haycraft, Holtham, Bannister, Reid (s) 16/15; Trevorrow. Thomas, Carstens, A. O. Jones (s) beat Blane, Wylie, Henderson, Neilson (s) 2/15; Lewis.. Hearle, Beecroft, Hayne (s) beat Hyde, Rogers, Hughes, Finlayson (s) 15/14; Weller, McKay, Percy, Christian (s) lost to Hendry, Denbee, Chapman, Perry (s) 11/19. Second round: Hayne (s) beat Neilson (s) 15/14; Christian (s) beat Finlayson (s)'27/20; Roberts (s) lost to Perry (s') 13/20; Hendry (s) lost to Morton (s) 20/25; Jones (s) beat Reid (s) 26/11. Third round: Hendry fs) beat Perry (s). 26/10; Jones (s) lost to Morton (s), 18/21; Hayne (s) beat Reid (s), 23/18; Christian (s) lost to Neilson (s), 19/21; Roberts <s) lost to Finlayson (s), 18/21.
