AIR RAIDS ON BRITAIN GERMAN PLANE SHOT DOWN. ENEMY AIRMEN PICKED UP IN NORTH SEA. The following Daventry reports have been rebroadcast by the New Zealand National stations:— Early yesterday afternoon two German planes were reported on the south-eastern coast of Scotland. Fighters were sent up, and one of the German planes was shot down. Yesterday afternoon air raid warning were given on parts of the northeast coast.
