OBITUARY
SIR LANGDON BONYTHON. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. (Received This Day. 12.55 p.m.) ADELAIDE. This Day. has occurred of Sir Langdon Bonython. Sir John Langdon Bonython was born in London in 1848. In 1864 he joined the literary staff of the “Adelaide Advertiser,” of which he later became editor and sole proprietor for 35 years. He gave lengthy service on many educational and other bodies and presented liberal endowments to Adelaide University. He also gave £lOO,000 for additions to the South /Australian Parliament House.
