The Air Ministry announced that British fighters intercepted two enemy planes over the South-East coast of Scotland early this afternoon and shot one down. An air raid warning was sounded this morning on a section of the NorthEast Coast but the all clear was given within half an hour. Gunfire and planes were not hoard during the period, but planes were heard after the all clear warning and interrupted church services. Ministers advised their congregations to remain, saying special prayers during the period of the alarm. The Air Ministry states that none of the aircraft dropped bombs br crossed the coast. GERMAN LOSSES THIRTEEN PLANES IN WEEK. A Daventry broadcast states that thirteen German planes have been brought down in one week in raids on the British coast.
