STOCKHOLM CONFERENCE CONCLUDES BROADCAST ADDRESSES BY RULERS. DESIRE FOR RESTORATION OF PEACE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 11.35 a.m.) , STOCKHOLM, October 19. The Nordic Conference, has ended, I and the delegates have dispersed. So far no statement has been issued. The four Scandinavian rulers broadcast from the castle of the Kings of Sweden. They stressed the importance cX ■Nordic solidarity and expressed an ardent hope that the Northern States would be able to contribute to the reestablishment of peace. The King of Denmark struck a note of hopefulness helped by the loyal cooperation of the northerners. The King of Norway said he hoped Scandinavian co-operation and friendship would be a model for the world. NEUTRALITY DECLARED NO PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO FINLAND. (Received This Day, 12.25 p.m.) STOCKHOLM, October 19. At the Stockholm Conference, the Scandinavian nations again declared their neutrality in the present war, and their desire for peace. The Oslo Powers also affirmed their continued readiness to render any service in conciliation and declared that the Nordic States would maintain traditional trade relations on all sides. It was added that Denmark, Iceland, Finland, Norway and Sweden would follow the same principles as during the Great War. No reference was made to Finland’s position regarding Russia.
