EKETAHUNA SALE
The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report having hole their usual weekly sale at Ekctahun: yesterday when the entry of sheep anc cattle came forward up lo advertiser numbers, and were submitted to a good attendance including buyers from Manawatu and Marton districts. Some good pens of hoggets were yarded and all classes of stock met with a ready sale at best late rates. Weaner pigs, of which there was a good entry, were in demand. We quote sales as follows:—
Sheep: Woolly wether hoggets, good fwd. condition. 22s to 22s 7d: med do.. 18s 9d to 16s 6d; small do.. 13s 6d; small ewe hoggets, 17s, 18s. 19s 7d to 20s: wethers. 235: ewes with lambs at foot, 2 and 4-th, 19s, all counted; aged ewes with lambs at foot, all counted, 15s, 12s 6d lo 10s; cull d 0.., 6s 4d.
Cattle: Spg heifers, £7 15s to £5 2s 6d; spg cows. £8 15s to £8: sows m milk. £7 2s 6d; P.A. bull, £6 ss: heifers with calves at foot. £2 15s; empty dairy heifers, £3 17s 6d; Jersey bulls, £8 5s to £6. Pigs—-Weaners, best, 255, 23s to 21s; small. 19s, 18s 6d lo 17s 6d.
