OTHER PEOPLE’S IDEAS

DESTRUCTION OR FUN? (To the Editor.) Sii',—A lot of vandalism and destruction has been going on in our Park of kite. Seats have been damaged and some have, together with the rubbish tins been thrown into the lake. The fernery has been raided, and trees have been destroyed. Last night (Tues day) a fine flowering shrub was destroyed, and several branches were plucked from the neighbouring trees. A newly sown plot was walked over and damaged. Somebody possibly has, at some time or another, seen these brainless idiots doing some damage, and although “tolling tales out of school’ may be unpopular, I certainly think that anyone who can give any information would be justified in coming forward and doing so. The Park belongs to the people and everyone should protect it from destruction as far as possible. I am. etc, H. E. GARDNER. Masterton, October 18.
