HAWKE’S BAY SHOW

FINE DISPLAY OF STOCK CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS. WAIRARAPA SUCCESSES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) HASTINGS. This Day. A substantial increase in entries for practically all competitive sections, particularly live stock classes, and the comprehensiveness of the industrial and commercial display, which strongly emphasises mechanised farming, are the outstanding features of the Hawke's Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Society’s Centennial Spring Show, which opened on the Tomoana Showgrounds today. The manner in which exhibitors from the province and further afield have rallied in support of the society is specially gratifying in view of the. difficult conditions prevailing, and the fixture promises to be one of the most successful held since the society’! inception 76 years ago. Quality is well featured all through the stock entries, and this display is considered the best seen on the Tomoana grounds since the 1935 Royal Show.
