GOLD MINING RETURN. Gillespies’ Beach dredge reports a return of 320 z from 16,400 cubic yards worked in 128 hours. The Mataki dredge return for the week ended October 13 was 240 z from 11,400 cubic yards worked in 129 hours. A wash-up of 640 z for 123 hours is reported by the Clutha River dredge for the week ended October 13. The Okarito Five Mile Beach report a wash-up of 340 z for 130 hours.
