Mrs C. H. Hartley is the guest of her daughter Mrs W. Hood, Alfredton Mrs F. Petersen, of Essex Street. Masterton, is visiting Palmerston North. Miss E. Anyon, of Island Bay, is a guest at The Chequers. Masterton, for some weeks. Mr and Mrs J. Gillies, Wellington, are visitors to Masterton and are staying at the Hotel Midland, Masterton. Mrs and Miss Ashworth, of Pownall Street, Masterton, are staying at Castlepoint. Mr and Mrs Stewart, Mount Bruce, 'are staying at the Prince of Wales Hotel. Masterton. Mrs W. J. Martin has been president of the Martinborough Tennis Club since its inauguration, 32 years ago. Miss Campton, of the Health Department, Wellington, is on a visit to Masterton, and is staying at the Empire Hotel. Mrs C. M. Wright, of Church Street, Masterton. who has been visiting! Auckland and Stratford, has returned I home. ! On Thursday evening the girl friends of Miss Margaret Brown, of Carterton. will tender her a dance and parcel evening in the Band Room, Holloway Street, Carterton, in honour of her approaching marriage to Mr Gordon Udy.
