Results of Auckland Spring Meeting BEAULIVRE’S STYLISH WIN IN GREAT NORTHERN GUINEAS MITCHELSON CUP ANNEXED BY ROYEVRUS AT GOOD PRICE ® (BY -CARBINE.”) \ Beaulivre, who scored in the Great Northern Guineas, was one of the principal winners at the opening day of the Auckland Racing Club’s spring meeting on Saturday. Beaulivre started first favourite on both, machines and his victory was a stylish one. Although awkwardly placed as they turned for home Beaulivre soon overcame the difficulty and over the last furlong there was no doubt as to his supremacy. The Mitchelson Cup resulted in a win for the sixth and seventh choice Royevrus, with Birthday Boy second. The last three events of the day, the two divisions in the Gordon Handicap and the Flying Handicap, were all won by rank outsiders who returned their supporters a good price.
