PATRIOTIC FUND
GOVERNING BODIES SET UP. MR T. JORDAN CHAIRMAN OF COUNCIL. Mr T. Jordan. Mayor of Masterton. and president of the Municipal Association. has peen appointed chairman of the National Patriotic Council. A National Patriotic Fund Board has also been set up, the general function of which is to administer the national fund in accordance with the provisions of the regulations, so that finance is expended to the best advantage. The council will fulfil an advisory function on all matters affecting the administration of the regulations, and has power to make such investigations and inquiries as it considers necessary or as the Minister directs. Following are members of the National Patriotic Council: Viscountess Galway, Mrs Janet Fraser, wife'of the Hon' P. Fraser, Princess Te Puea Herangi, Sir Ernest Davis, Messrs T. C. A. Hislop, R. M. Macfarlane, M.P.. A. H. Allen, D. W. Coleman, M.P., T. Jordan, the Hon F. Waite, M.L.C., J. G. Barclay, J. Hargest, J. A. Lee, E. T. Tirikatene, M.P.s, C. J. Talbot, J. A. Cowles, B. J. Jacobs, R. H. Nimmo. W. Hustler Smith, Dr Alexander Gillies and J. W. Heenan. Mr Jordan is to be chairman of the council. Following are members of the National Patriotic Fund Board: —The Governor-General, Lord Galway, the Hon Mark Fagan, the Rt Hon J. G. Coates, the Hon W. Perry, M.L.C., Sir Robert Anderson, Messrs L. O. H. Tripp, J. J. Esson, T. A. Duncan, F. W. Schramm, M.P., W. Mulholland, H. Tai Mitchell, J. Riberts, J. T. Paul, B. C. Ashwin.
