MINIATURE RIFLES WAIRARAPA DEFEAT HAWKE’S BAY. (“Times-Age” Special.) A post match, 20-aside, was fired between Wairarapa and Hawke's Bay Miniature Rifle Associations resulting in a win for Wairarapa by 24 points. SALE OF WORK

ST MARK’S LADIES’ GUILD. St Mark's Church Ladies’ Guild held a very successful sale of work in the Band Room, Carterton, yesterday. There was a large attendance throughout the day. Articles which had been made by members of the Guild found a ready sale and the various stalls organised by the ladies did excellent business. They are to be complimented upon their efforts. As a result of the sale approximately £9O was taken, a very successful result. ODD FELLOWS’ LODGE LODGE' RITUAL EXAMINATION. Loyal Heart of Oak Lodge of Odd Fellows officers will be examined in Lodge ritual work at their fortnightly meeting on Monday evening. The examining officers are P.R.G.M. Bro C. J. DeLacey and P.G.'s Bros G. S. Bruce and R. Baikie. PARKVALE SOCIAL CLUB ’ ’ 'WIND-UP BALL. • All roads will doubtless lead to the Parkvale Hall on Monday night, when the Parkvale Social Club will hold a ball to wind up the dancing season so fdr as the club is concerned. Every effort is being made to ensure the success of the gathering and there is. no doubt, that the hall will be filled to capacity. Udy’s Orchestra will provide the music. Novelty dances will be staged during the evening, and the reputation of the Parkvale ladies to provide an excellent supper is well known.. The prices of admission are advertised. The lion secretary is Miss M. Adlam. A Correction. At the licensing of a student. Mr R. McKenzie, at St Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Carterton, on Wednesday last, it was the Rev A. A. Armstrong, Moderator of the Presbytery of the Wairarapa, and not • the Rev D. McNeur, as stated in our report, who congratulated both the student upon his success and the congregation of St Andrew’s Church upon the fine record of having recently provided three young men for the ministry.
