BREMEN’S ESCAPE

The British United Press Amsterdam correspondent, describing the Bremen's escape, says that Edouard Post, the only Dutch member of the crew, declared that the captain was prepared to set the liner on lire to avoid capture. Barrels of petrol were placed ali over the ship as she steamed at top speed from New York to Iceland.
