RUIN IN SIGHT
WAR EFFECTS IN DENMARK. GERMAN INTERCEPTION OF EXPORTS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 9.55 a.m.) NE'W YORK, October 12. The Associated Press of America Copenhagen correspondent says Den-mark-Europe's greatest produce)' of bacon, butter and eggs—is facing ruin because two of her best customers, namely England and Germany, are al war. Last year these products comprised two-thirds of Denmark’s total export revenue, of which Britain took 55 per cent and Germany 20 per cent. Germany is now intercepting Danish ships going to Britain and for this reason England may be compelled to obtain supplies from the British Empire and the Argentine.
