On the steeplechase grass High Caste was most impressive and easily beat Petruchio over five furlongs in 1.2}, the last four being covered in 50secs. Rexfelt ran a brilliant four furlongs in 49secs., the best of the morning. Hilton moved nicely, beating Bankshaw over four furlongs in 491. Elanage did the best ten furlongs, taking 2.121 and running the last furlong strongly in 12J. Respirator, Fearless and Cairnsmore accounted for seven furlongs in 1.31.’. Respirator was most impressive. John Dory surprised by keeping with Wilson over five furlongs, covered in 1.3}. Diaphane moved freely over a mile in 1.451. Orteile’s Star was not extended over a mile, covered in 1.491, the last half in SU. Judean beat Footmark over seven furlongs in 1.31. Gold Salute did steady work. Beau Vite, going comfortably on the sand, went a mile in 1.59. . At Flemington on the grass Anpapejo and Reading finished together, going well over six furlongs in 1.17. Carpentier and Donor’s Hill were not extended over six furlongs in 1.19. Feminist impressed over seven furlongs in 1.342-. Procyon and Border Lass were on terms after three furlongs covered in 37. Broadcaster and Applause, lightly shod, ran three furlongs in 36a. Stoic beat Maluno over seven furlongs in 1.32 J. Lusson defeated Muscari over six furlongs on the sand in 1.19.
