GOLF COMPETITIONS SEASON TO CLOSE ON SATURDAY. (“Times-Age” Special ) The men’s Stableford competition for the year was concluded during the weekend. The winner for the year turned up in N. F. Foreman, who takes the trophy donated by Mr A. McGregor. A. McGregor was runner-up two strokes behind. The ladies’ stableford will be concluded next Saturday, the trophy which goes to the winner being donated by Mr and Mrs lan McGregor. There is one more playing day for the net aggregate over ten rounds, which is set down for October 22. That will be the last playing day of the season as the dosing day has been fixed for Saturday, October 28. There will not be any further matches either for the Kummerstein Cup for the ladies of the Nimmo Cup for the men. Mrs J. Bannister has won the former cup and holds it for the yeai‘ and I. McGregor has won the Nimmo Cup. Next playing day will be Saturday when players can arrange their own partners.
