Obviously referring to last night’s British Admiralty communique, the Official German News Agency reports that, beginning on Saturday, joint naval and air operations in the northern part of the North Sea, north-west of the coast of Norway, succeeded in forcing British forces into action, in which some of the enemy were damaged. ABORTIVE BOMBING ADMIRALTY REPORT. FEW SPLINTERS THROWN ON CRUISER. (Received This Day, 10.5 a.m.) LONDON, October 11. An Admiralty communique states that the air attack against the cruiser squadron in the North Sea on Monday continued for five hours, during which over one hundred bombs were dropped, one salvo falling near enough to throw a few splinters on to a cruiser.
