ABORTIVE BOMBING ADMIRALTY REPORT. FEW SPLINTERS THROWN ON CRUISER. (Received This Day, 10.5 a.m.) LONDON, October 11. An Admiralty communique states that the air attack against the cruiser squadron in the North Sea on Monday continued for five hours, during which over one hundred bombs were dropped, one salvo falling near enough to throw a few splinters on to a cruiser.
