The Mexico correspondent of the “New York Times" states that, though the Mexican authorities claim there were no war materials aboard, the departure of the German liner Columbus from Vera Cruz to Point Anton Lizardo, twelve miles away, has given rise to the suspicion that she is proposing to refuel the Admiral Scheer or to begin raiding commerce herself.
