Results of Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club’s Meeting HASTINGS STAKES RESULTS IN GOOD WIN FOR KINDERGARTEN HOLLYCOMBE HURDLES ANNEXED BY DE FRIEND (BY “CARBINE.”) Kindergarten, who went to the barrier second favourite, defeated a good field to win the Hastings Stakes at the Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club’s spring meeting yesterday. The Hollycombe Hurdles resulted in a good win for De Friend, the first favourite, who defeated Birkology by two lengths. Russian Ballet, the first favourite, came home nicely to win the Homewood Fying Handicap from a good field.
