4 WELLINGTON SALE. SHARP RISES IN PRICES. (By Telegrapn—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The final rabbitskin sale of the season at Wellington was held yesterday by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., and Dalgety and Co ~Ltd. There was a full attendance of buyers and competition was particularly keen for all grades and descriptions.
As compared with the sale held here in September, prices improved in some lines to the extent of 17d a " lb, and, taken on an average all over, catalogues would realise 9d to 12d alb more. First bucks sold at 82d, as 65d; second does at 36d, against 25d; second bucks at 64d; spotted bucks at 46d; spotted does at 32d. The following is the range of prices: —Runners, small, to lOd; racks, to 20d; summers, to 20d; autumns, to 25d; incoming, to 32d; broken, 22d to 31d; f.s. and b.s., 20d to 37,{d; hares, to 14d; spring, 21d to 24d; outgoing, 30d to 421 d; spotted. 32d to 46d; winters, 641 d to 82d; blacks, to 151 d; ferrets, to 4s; weevilly, to 14d.
