ROTARY CLUB
DEBATE ON TOWN MANAGEMENT
The president, Rotarian J. J. Hunter, presided over a large attendance at the weekly luncheon of the Masterton Rotary Club today, when a debate was held, the subject being: ‘-That the interests of the community would be better served by the appointment of a town manager.” The speakers taking part were: Affirmative, Mr J. H. Cunningham (leader). Mr N. R. Cunningham (seconder). Negative: Mr H. H. Daniell (leader). Mr R. Lee (seconder). The Rev. E. J. Rich was adjudicator. The leaders each spoke for seven minutes and the seconders for five minutes.
