GENERALLY RANGED BEHIND BRITAIN. POSITION IN PALESTINE. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, October 3. Replying to a question in the House of Commons today, the Colonial Secretary, Mr Malcolm MacDonald, said that since the outbreak of the war security of the situation in Palestine is improved. Though there are some cases of enmity by Arab terrorists generally the Arab and Jewish sections are ranged behind Britain in the present emergency, and show every desire to co-operate in the successful prosecution of the war. "The Government appreciates most cordially the spirit displayed by the people of Palestine,” he said.
