DAHLIA HONOURED

On August 16 Menton honoured the Dahlia. On that day every year a festival of the Dahlia is held, during which there is a battle of flowers, and at night a fireworks display brings the proceedings to a close. The battle of flowers is held on the promenade, and all cars and floats taking part are decorated entirely with dahlias. The fireworks display takes place opposite the famous Casino.
