CENTRAL SCHOOL
PARENTS’ ASSOCIATION. FINAL DANCE OF SEASON. The final dance for the season under the auspices of the Central School Parents’ Association was held in the Central School Assembly Hall last evening. Even the most optimistic expectations of the committee were exceeded and the hall was comfortably filled before 8 o’clock, later being crowded. MrW. R. Nicol as M.C., assisted by the music of Mr Jack Barnes’s Rhythm Boys, soon had things, moving merrily, and a happy spirit prevailed throughout the night. Extras were played by Messrs Hicks, Hood and West.
The Monte Carlo dance was won by Mr and Mrs M. Hanley. Mr Nicol on behalf Of the Parents’ Association thanked patrons for the splendid support which had been given to the Parents' Association throughout the season, the committee being very grateful and he hoped that the support would continue throughout next season’s dances. The gathering closed with the singing of Auld Lang Syne and God Save the King.
