DETAILED BRITISH REPORTS NO CASUALTIES AND SHIPS UNDAMAGED. GERMAN PLANE SHOT DOWN AND ANOTHER CAPTURED. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 9.5 a.m.) RUGBY, September 28. Further details are now available relating to the incident in the North Sea to which Mr Winston Churchill referred in the House of Commons yesterday. It appears that the British ships were proceeding on normal stations when they were attacked by German aircraft. The weather was fine, but there were some clouds and these were used by the German bombers to dive from and attack the large ships. Cruisers were attacked by very highflying machines. The whole action had the results already stated. There ‘were no British losses of men and no damage to the ships, while one uerman aeroplane was shot down, one was badly damaged, and one made a forced landing and was captured with its crew. CLAIMS REVISED AMENDED GERMAN REPORT. BERLIN. September 28. The following revised communique has been issued about the North Sea attack: “A 11001 b bomb scored a direct hit on the British aircraft-carrier and two 5501 b bombs struck the forward midships of the battleship. It is easy to imagine what the consequences must have been." The statement- reasserts that all the German planes returned safely.
