NEW ZEALAND’S WAR EFFORT. COMMENT IN GREAT BRITAIN. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY. September 27. Like Britain, New Zealand shows determination not to count the cost of war, so long as victory is gained. This is shown in Mr Nash's Budget speech, in which, after announcing heavy tax increases, he added: "But at whatever cost, New Zealand will go through with it.”
