ST. JOHN AMBULANCE

NURSING DIVISION.

OVER ONE HUNDRED ENROLMENTS.

At the first aid meeting of the Nursing Division of St John Ambulance there were over one hundred enrolments. After enrolments had been made Miss Whitehouse, lady superintendent, gave a most interesting address on first aid. Then instruction was given on the use of the triangular bandage, the correct method of folding, and a practice demonstration in connection with the several slings required in the course of first aid. The class has been divided into two for practical work. One section will meet on Tuesdays and the other on Thursdays while all members are to attend the lecture on Tuesday. Dr N. H. Prior then delivered the first lecture of the course, the subjects being the outline and the principles of first aid, shock and its effects, dressings and bandages.
