The main wharf and adjoining western and southern portions of Rangitoto Island, Auckland, are to be closed to the public under authority contained in the defence emergency regulations, according to notice given by Colonel N. W. McD. Weir, officer commanding the Northern Military District. The notice also applies to all holders of licences for dwellings along the south and west fringes of the island from the Rangitoto Domain Board’s concrete water-tank westward to McKenzie's Bay, by Rangitoto beacon.
