The liberation of 5000 fingerling trout in Lake Pokoroa, Kohekohe, Waiuku, by the Auckland Acclimatisation Society in 1936 appears to have been successful in stocking the lake with trout. At the meeting of the council of the society at Waiuku, Mr R. S. Naylor mentioned that an owner of land round the lake, Mr F. A. Harcombc, had reported that he had seen trout there recently which he estimated weighed up to 121 b. The meeting arranged that a party should test the fishing potentialities there shortly.
