It is very pleasing to record that the year has again been a successful one, the sum of £127 9s 2d having been raised as against £l2O 2s 6d last year, an increase of £7 6s Bd. Great praise is due to our willing band of collectors who were untiring in their efforts to surpass last year’s record. In March last, Mrs V. Wakelin, Organising Secretary, held successful meetings at all the- local branches and was greatly cheered by the warm welcome extended to her. As a result of her efforts a sub-branch was again started at Tinui and we are very grateful to Mesdames I. and R. Speedy for their assistance in this territory. We desire to express our sincere thanks to cur collectors for the splendid support so cheerfully given. It must be a source of gratification to them to know that the total collections show an advance on last year. Thanks are also due to our Ladies’ Auxiliary, with Mrs J Macßae as president, for the ever ready help and support at all times and to our ministers for their friendly interest and co-operation. We are very pleased to have our Dominion Secretary, the Rev. D. Calder, with us once more and we are looking forward to his address which we know will prove one of great interest and inspiration to us all.”
