WOOL PURCHASE

Q, CONSIDERABLE QUANTITIES REQUIRED. ANNOUNCEMENT MADE IN BRITAIN. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 11.30 a.m.) LONDON. September 25. The Wool Control Department announces that the Government requires a considerable quantity of wool at maximum prices, subject to such additions as may be made thereto when the Control Department takes over supplies. This should relieve the reluctance of traders to sell. The International Wool Secretariat denies a rumour that stocks are inadequate. and states that the supply is fully adequate to cope with the belligerent and neutral demand.
