NURSING DIVISION
FIRST AID CLASS.
OVER EIGHTY ENROLMENTS. The Nursing Division of the St John Ambulance Brigade, Masterton is engaged in work of a national character in training women and girls in first aid, which is an attainment of community value in ordinary circumstances, but is especially useful in the present conditions which exist owing to the war. There are already over eighty enrolments in the first aid class which will start operations next Thursday in the Lecture Room at the Municipal buildings. The secretary in Wellington (Mr C. Meachen) cannot supply text books at the moment but has hundreds on the way to Wellington. Members are asked to supply their own notebooks and pencils. The Nursing Division would appreciate the gift of text books or even be prepared to purchase them from those who do not wish to keep them. If such books cannot be delivered a telephone call to Mrs Thompson, 42 Perry Street (’phone 1260) will insure their collection.
