WEDDING

GOWER-WEST—WARDELL. A quiet wedding, attended only by members of the family and near relatives was solemnised at Te Whiti this afternoon when Mary, only daughter of Mrs Wardell and the late Mr T. W. Wardell, was married to Francis Leveson Gower-West, of Auckland, the Rev. ■J. Davie officiating. Later in the afternoon Mr and Mrs Gower-West left by car to spend their honeymoon travelling through the North Island. Their future home will be in Auckland.
