UNITED WAR EFFORT
SUPPORT OF DOMINIONS APPRECIATED. STATEMENT BY MR EDEN. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, September 21'. The Dominions Secretary, Mr An ■ thony Eden, issued the following statement: — “I should like to emphasise aga’in the admiration felt by the British Government for the people of our partner nations in the British Commonwealth in the common endeavour to defeat German aggression. Day by day we receive messages from overseas recording ever-increasing determination. Day by day comes news of action to implement their resolves. “This practical testimony from lands far distant from the actual scene of hostilities is a notable encouragement, not only to us, but to the Allied nations, and indeed to all who value the ideals of liberty and justice, for which the British Commonwealth stands.”
