FIERCE OUTBREAKS

CZECH & SLOVAK REVOLT NAZIS FACE INCREASING TASK. SECRET WIRELESS STATIONS IN GERMANY. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. LONDON. September 22. Czechs and Slovaks are maintaining' revolt with the utmost bravery in the face of ruthless stamping out measures, says “The ’rimes.” The fiercest outbreaks are now in Slovakia. News of the revolt spread to Austria where Nazis have already been forced to take special measures for internal security. As in Bohemia, they are finding the task too much for them and are increasingly calling in the assistance of the military. Those arrested include the Lord Mayor of Prague, the Abbot of Stahov Monastery, and other prominent officials, parliamentarians and journalists. The British United Press states that another secret German “freedom” station was heard broadcasting, when a German professor appealed to inteliecuals “to drag Hitler and his comedians from the stage.” The original "freedom” station broadcast a detailed programme urging sabotage and passive resistance covering every sphere of national life in which soldiers and civilians can cooperate, and specially appealing to Austrians to emulate the Czech risings, of which a full accoupt was given. The secret station said (according to a Daventry report), that throughout Germany a widespread net of anti-Nazi groups had been established, and listeners were advised to try and get into contact with these groups.
