In the House of Representatives, the Reserves and Other Lands Disposal and Native Purposes Bill were put through all stages and passed. Discussing the latter measure, the member for Eastern Maori, Sir Apirana Ngata contended that considerable waste of money was going on in connection with the housing policy of the Native Department. The Acting Native Minister. Mr Langstone, gave an assurance that’ the investigation would bo conducted into native housing policy and waste would be eliminated. Two minor amendments to the Meal Bill, made by the Legislative Council, were approved.
