HAWKE’S BAY SHOW

ENTRIES CLOSE ON SEPTEMBER 27. Although the Hawke’s Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Society’s Centennial Show to be held oh October 18 and 19 is in the main a stock show, various other interests are extensively catered for and a section strongly supported in the past is that for needlework, knitting and artwork. Attached to this section is a challenge cup for the best piece of fancy work other* than knitting and a miniature cup for the run-ner-up. The poultry section caters for all classes of fowls and ducks in fancy and utility sections. In addition to a special prize for most points a number of special prizes are offered for various breeds in the fancy and utility sections. The dog section is endowed with a splendid lot of trophies and special prizes for the various breeds in addition to a most liberal prize list. This section is under the control of the Hawke’s Bay Kennel Association. Mr R. A. SlOan, 308 • Ellison Road, Hastings, is the secretary, and all entries and enquiries for information should be addressed to him. Other* sections comprise bacon, butter, bread and woodwork. Schedules and all particulars on application to the secretary, Church Lane, Napier.
