SERIES OF SUCCESSES. ' EXAMS. AND COMPETITIONS. In the Royal Academy of Dancing Examinations recently held in Wellington Beulah Hirst, of Masterton, was a successful candidate, passing with honours in the higher division of operatic dancing. In the Trinity College Examinations held in August she was successful in gaining the highest marks in elocution, senior grade, in Wellington, passing with merit. At the annual Wellington competitions she secured Ist prize in the girls’ test song (12-14 years), 2nd prize in character song, boys or girls (12-16 years), 3rd prize in film star impersonation, boys or girl, under 16 years, 3rd prize in national song, boy or girl (12-16 years), three V.H.C’s. and one H.C. She also won the Maxwell Silver Cup for popular song and screen star impersonation. Beulah Hirst is only 12 years of age.
