ANTICIPATION OF GERMAN OFFENSIVE PREPARATIONS ON WESTERN, FRONT, IN SAARBRUCKEN REGION. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. (Received This Day, 1.25 p.m.) PARIS, September 20. Although the West front has all been quiet for the greater part of the day, heavy artillery has opened up at various points, particularly on the Saarbrucken sector, and there is every indication that the Germans are preparing to take the offensive, as they are probing the French strength along 25 miles of front east of Saarbrucken. German troops are still moving to the west from Poland. French troops released from the Italian frontier have also moved up to the Western front. The morale of the French troops is exceedingly high. Their losses have been light. The efficiency of the tanks and other mechanised equipment has proved excellent. VIOLENT EXPLOSION NEAR LUXEMBOURG VILLAGE. (Received This Day, 1.25 p.m.) BRUSSELS, September 20. Another violent explosion opposite the Luxembourg village of Schengen occurred, after which an intense artillery bombardment started.
