Though it has cancelled the special centennial tournaments in October ana November at Auckland, Christchurch, and Wellington, the New Zealand Goll Council has decided that the ordinary annual New Zealand open and amateur championship event:; will take place. The venue is Miramar and the dates November 9 to 17. The prize money amounts to £4OO. which is more than provided previously, but the amount has been increased owing to the expected abandonment of the professionals’ tournament usually held in February.
