NAZI JEW-BAITER
STREICHER DISMISSED AND ARRESTED. MISAPPROPRIATION OF FUNDS ALLEGED. (Independent Cable Service.) LONDON, September 18. The "Daily Express'' reports that Herr Julius Streicher, the German Jewbaiter, is in protective custody in a sanatorium at Hohenlychen. near Berlin. having been dismissed from his position of gauleiter in Nuremburg and his money taken from him. He is reported to have had a dispute with the generals, who said his bank account was far in excess of his earnings from his newspapex- salary. Streicher replied: "Why shouldn't I make something on the side like the others. Look at what Goering makes.” Air-Marshal Goering was furious and ordered an investigation of Streicher's affairs. This allegedly revealed that Streichex- had appropriated huge sums from the Jews for his own use. Only Herr Hitler's personal regard saved Streichex- from a firing squad.
