DEVELOPMENT OF INDUSTRY. OTTAWA. The raising and marketing of pigs in Canada has developed to such an extent in recent years that it today stands as the second most important agricultupral commodity exported. During 1938 pig raising has benefited Canadian farmers to the extent of 65,000,000 dollars of which 30,000.000 dollars was from- export sales. Requirements and tastes of the British public is greatly influencing Canadian production and today Wiltshire side bacon is being made available for the British trade in ever increasing quantities.
