GREYTOWN
TRUST LANDS TRUST MONTHLY MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of members of the Trust Lands Trust was held on Thursday evening. Mr F. Dennes was in the chair in the absence of Mr H. G. Carter. Also present werb Messrs J. W. Barnard, W. H. Day, and H. J. Nightingale. The borough rate demand amounting to £-90 15s 4d was passed for payment. Accounts amounting to £127 18s 2d were authorised to be paid. > The Forestry Department notified the Trust that they could not supply young trees. PRESBYTERIAN GUILD MONTHLY MEETING. At the monthly meeting of the Greytown Presbyterian Guild, held in the Sunday School, Mrs A. Johnson presided over an excellent attendance. A vote of sympathy was passed to a member who had suffered bereavement. It was reported that arrangements were well' in hand for the sale of work which would be held on September 29. All present offered their services in connection with war efforts. It was decided to hold a garden party at the residence of Mrs A. Johnson on the last Saturday in November. The meeting closed with prayer. SCHOOL FUNDS MOVIE PICTURE SHOW. Despite the wet night the Odd FeR lows Hall was filled for the movie picture entertainment given by Mr W. G. K. Wiggins in aid of the school funds. Those present were very much impressed with the idea of using this method for educational purposes. Mr Wiggins was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for the use of his machine and procuring the necessary films.
