N.Z. TOURNAMENT. WINNERS OF FINALS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL,’ September 14. The finals of the New Zealand Amateur Boxing Championships, which were fought tonight, were not of such a high standard as the semi-finals last night. However, there were several bright bouts. The Jamieson Belt for the most scientific boxer was awarded T. Dunn (Hutt Valley). Taranaki and Southland drew, for the Earl Stewart Shield, for which points were: —Taranaki 20, Southland 20, Ashburton, Greymouth, Hutt Valley and Auckland 15 each, Gisborne 10, Wellington 10. Flyweight. —Final: B. Moddern (Taranaki* beat T. Hoggarth (Greymouth 1 on points. Bantamweight. —Final: H. Foote (Wellington- beat J. Jenkins (Auckland) on points. ' Featherweight.—Semifinals: A. Byrpe (Hutt Valley) beat M. Parr (Otago) on points; G. Thomas (Taranaki) beat L. Pennington (Auckland) on points. Final: Thomas beat Bryne on points. Lightweight.—Semifinal: T. Dunn (Hutt Valley) beat J. P. Musson (Ashburton) on points. Final: Dunn beat H. Calder (Southland) on points. Middleweight.—Final: W. Enright (Southlancl) beat R Tonks (Ashburton) by a technical knockout. Welterweight.—Final: D. Heeney (Gisborne)', beat W. Little (Auckland) on points. '* - Light-heavyweight. —Final: R. Withell (Ashburton) beat R. Rollenson (Auckland) on points.Heavyweight.—Final: C. Marsh (Greymouth) beat D. Anderson (Southland) on points.
