GERMANS RETIRING
ON NORTHERN SECTION OF FRONT. (Received This Day, 10.5 a.m.) NEW YORK. September 15. A Paris correspondent of the American Press states that unofficial reports state that the Germans are retreating slowly from advance positions in the Moselle Valley and all along the Northern flank of the Western front. The French High Command has announced that a German air fleet was defeated in a battle low over the front lines on the Western front.
