THREAT TO POLAND

REPORTED PARTITION PLANS SOVIET ACTION EXPECTED BY GERMANS. ■< OCCUPATION OF UKRANIA By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright LONDON, September 14. The “News Chronicle’s” Copenhagen correspondent reports that circles close to the Wilhelmstrasse confidently expect Russian troops to invade Poland as soon as the Polish army’s resistance is finally shattered by the Germans. The garrisons on the Soviet’s southwest frontiers have recently been increased from a million to two million men. It is estimated that the Russians have four million men under arms. The Soviet is expected to occupy Polish Ukrania (White Russia) while Germany advances eastward to this position and another partition of Poland will thus be consummated.
