SHEEPSKINS AND HIDES

NO WELLINGTON SALE. OWING TO WAR REGULATIONS. (By Telegrapn—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Wellington woolbrokers’ Association advise that in accordance with the Wool Emergency Regulations issued by the Government on September 14, making it illegal to change or vary the ownership of greasy, slipe and scoured wool and sheepskins, the association was unable to conduct its fortnightly sale yesterday. The regulations are to remain in force until October 14, and clients are assured that during this time ample protective measures will be taken to insure all their produce against deterioration. Hides were disposed of yesterday by private treaty to local tanners in accordance with arrangements made with the Government, at the prices ruling on September 1.
