Large Numbers in France LANDING OF FIRST EXPEDITIONARY FORCE COMPLETED LONDON, September 14. The Paris correspondent of the Associated Press of America, says it is officially announced that several hundred thousand British troops have landed in France unhampered either by submarine or aerial attack. The landing of the first British expeditionary force is termed complete. In the first reference to Allied support, the French military dispatches yesterday afternoon stated: “A great number of well-equipped British troops are participating in the combat.”
