“LUCKY DIP”

THE COMPLETE CAST. Rehearsals of “Lucky Dip” have now. reached the final stage. It is stated that this production will prove to be the most successful yet placed before the public by Mrs Rich. Recollections of such splendid performances as “Short Story,” for instance, is sufficient indication of what this 'statement imports. It is at least certain that, with Mrs Rich as producer (with a highly competent assistant in Miss K. Cruickshank), Mr Fred. L. Price in charge of the “make-up” department, and Mr T. E. Handcock as stage-manager, the production cannot fail to be a highly creditable effort. The complete cast is as follows: —Mesdames Thos. Jordan and Fred. L. Price, Misses J. Betts and N. Robinson, and Messrs Geo. Sykes, H. Mackenzie Douglas, Neal M. Irwin, T. A. Cunningham, J. M. Lawson, G. C. L. Dickel, P. L. Claridge and J. MacKay. Of these, Miss Betts and Mr Lawson have particularly heavy parts. It is on them that a great deal of the success of the play depends. Mr Cunningham’s portrayal of a pompous butler is said to be a splendid piece of acting. The reservation of seats for both night is proceeding apace. Those attending are not only promised good entertainment but will be assisting a patriotic effort. The box plan is at Messrs Steele and Bull (Nimmos).
